The safety and well-being of the children we serve are our highest priority. We strive to achieve the highest quality possible in matching a child to a caring volunteer. To help ensure child safety, Big Brothers Big Sisters conducts a thorough background check on every volunteer, followed by an in-person interview, a home visit, and a professional assessment.

In addition, we will provide you with safety tips for you and your child. Throughout the life of the match, our professional staff will be in regular contact with you, your child, and your child’s Big. Of course, you can and should contact us at any point if you have any questions or concerns.
