How Bowl For Kids' Sake Works

Team Captains volunteer to recruit their family, friends and co-workers to create teams of four or more bowlers. Each bowler raises $75 or more in pledges in order to bowl. We offer several different bowling dates and times for the bowling celebration; the Team Captain chooses which day his/her team will be bowling.

All the funds raised help us to bring the life-changing experience of a caring mentor to more children in our community! By participating, you play a huge role in giving our children a sense of hope for the future, and making our community a better place to live.

The Thank You Party

As a thank you for all your fundraising efforts, we invite you and your team to the best bowling bash ever! The two and a half hours of bowling, the shoes, and the food are all FREE! Plus, we offer some great raffle prizes and give-aways to keep the good times rolling.

Be A Team Captain

We work closely with our Team Captains to give them everything they need to pull together a team. After creating a team, the Captain checks with his/her bowlers to see if they need help and to encourage them to keep collecting pledges. Anytime a Captain needs help, the folks at BBBS are there every step up the way as a support system.

Some teams work with pencil and paper, while others prefer to take advantage of our online fundraising system. It’s a very easy way to collect pledges. Plus, the online system allows bowlers to accept credit card donations. It’s all online so there’s less paperwork to shuffle around.

Be A Bowler

The event wouldn’t exist without our bowlers! Each bowler is a member of a team of four or more people, and raises at least $75 to participate. You can fundraise by collecting cash or checks, or use our online fundraising system. The online system allows you to email all your contacts to ask for donations, and your sponsors can pay with credit/debit cards.

Become an Event Sponsor

To thank our bowlers with this fun and free event, we have to cover a number of expenses. Bowling center fees, DJs, food and t-shirts costs are just some of the items we pay for. Help cover those expenses by becoming an event sponsor!

There are different packages available, some of which even give you banner recognition at the event and logo rights on the website and on event print materials. We are really grateful to last year’s sponsors and would love to add your name to this list for 2010. Help us to make a larger impact on our community by underwriting these costs. After all, spending less on event costs means that we have more program funding. The more children we match, the stronger our schools and community become!
