Join Team Defenders and take the plunge for youth mentoring!
Sunday, March 10, 2019

‌This year marks the 10th annual Leprechaun Plunge and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampden County is thrilled to be part of this legendary event!  Plunge participants will raise money for our programs in the weeks leading up to the Plunge. The day of the event, participants can plunge (or dip)  into the frigid waters of the Connecticut River at Brunelle’s Marina in South Hadley, MA.

Take the plunge!

Step 1: Register for the 10th Annual Leprechaun Plunge

Step 2: Join Team Defenders!

Step 3: Create your profile  and begin collecting donations to support Big Brothers Big Sisters!

Please note, these steps are necessary to be part of the fun! Step 1 lets the event committee know how many people to plan for logistics, meals, t-shirts, etc. Step 2 & 3 shows the community just how BIG of an impact an individual can have on changing a life.

‍Big Brothers Big Sisters is honored to have been chosen as one of the charities of choice for this year’s Leprechaun Plunge. You can show your support by registering as an individual or a team to plunge and raise funds to help defend the potential of a child in your community.

Adding Team Captain to his resume, David Beturne, will be leading Team Defenders into the Connecticut River that Sunday in March. Starting this February, follow our new blog where we will be sharing David's journey from case manager to Executive Director as well as the meaningful stories he has heard through the years. This will be a testament not only to the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters, but also to his dedication to youth mentoring. It takes a special leader who is willing to dodge icebergs for a cause!

Keep up with all the fun leading up to the Plunge, fundraising tips, and "meet others" who are as crazy as you are through our Facebook Leprechaun Plunge event page

What is the Leprechaun Plunge?
The Plunge is an annual fundraising event for selected local charities. Plunge participants raise pledges for a selected charity, and on the day of the event, plunge into the waters of the Connecticut River at Brunelle’s Marina. The event has grown each year and raised over $100,000 for local charities this past year. This event includes a luncheon after the plunge, raffles, music and fun.
