Welcome to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampden County, the area’s leader in one-to-one mentoring for more than 40 years. Our volunteers (we call them “Bigs”) serve hundreds of children from Hampden County and the towns of South Hadley and Granby. Our Bigs come from all walks of life. And what do they get out of the experience? They get to have fun and be a kid again!

Research shows that “Littles” (our name for the children in our program) are:

• 46% less likely than their peers to start using illegal drugs
• 27% less likely to start drinking
• 52% less likely to skip school
• 37% less likely to skip a class

Mentoring works, and we are committed to providing it in a safe, fun and supportive atmosphere for the Littles of Hampden County. Join us!
