From our Executive Team to our Board of Directors, Big Brothers Big Sisters has a compassionate and dedicated group of individuals on our side that are willing to do whatever it takes
to help change children’s lives for the better.
David joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampden County in 2000 and served in filling case management and program director roles before being named Executive Director in December 2013. As a longtime leader at Big Brothers Big Sisters, he oversaw the launch of the agency’s first school-based programs, a federally initiated program targeting the enrollment of youth with an incarcerated parent, and initiatives geared to improving on-time grade advancement and graduation rates of Hampden County students.
In 2010, David was named to the Business West’s “40 Under 40” Class of 2010, and in 2011 was instrumental in this agency receiving a Big Brothers Big Sisters Gold Standard Award, one of 17 similar organizations nationally to receive this top honor from Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
David lives in Ellington, CT where he and his wife Julie raise two sons, Benjamin and Nathan. When he isn’t working at Big Brothers Big Sisters, David is most likely to be found coaching youth sports or playing in one of several area adult soccer leagues.
Director of Program Services
Cindy joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampden County in 2004 and served as a case manager and Mentor Springfield Coordinator before being named the Director of Program Services in 2013. She played a key role in launching the Mentor Springfield and Pathways Programs, and had a significant hand in helping the agency earn a 2013 Excellency Award and 2014 Quality Award.
In addition to serving as a member of the agency staff, Cindy has also served as a volunteer mentor in both the site-based and community-based programs.
She lives in Springfield with her husband Ryan. When not at work, she can be found jet skiing and playing volleyball and soccer.
